By 1850 the family was living in Weston, Platte County, Missouri. By 1860, they were living in Arcadia, Morgan County, Illinois. Daniel was a Captain for the Illinois Cavalry during the Civil War. On the 1870 U. S. Census they had a farm in Osage, Neosho County, Kansas. Salt City, Sumner County, Kansas was their home in 1880.

Arnold and Elizabeth came west with the Silas Richards Company in 1849. Elizabeth divorced Arnold and moved from California to Beaver, Utah and then married Francis Brown. Arnold went back to Council Bluffs.
Sarah Delight went to live at Potter’s Camp with her uncle Martin Potter, the founder of Potter’s Camp in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. There she married William Booth.
William W. Potter went to Potter’s Camp and married Mary Thompson (maiden name Anderson) from Big Grove on April 1, 1850. Mary was the widow of Samuel Thompson. William died in about 1859 possibly in Mills County, Iowa.
