Residents of Macedonia Camp Settlement, Pottawattamie County, Iowa
Residents
1850 U. S. Census, Pottawattamie County, Iowa
It appears that Luke Johnson went from Springville to enumerate Macedonia Camp for the 1850 U. S. Census on November 7th. It is possible that he began with Dwelling #966 and concluded on November 8th with Dwelling #989. The Dwellings from #966 to #973 probably lived between Springville and Macedonia Camp and attended the Springville Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It appears that with the other adjacent settlements, Luke Johnson came back through Macedonia Camp on November 16th to finish his enumeration for the 1850 Census beginning with Dwelling 1106 and concluding with Dwelling #1116. Beginning with dwelling #975, the families with their ages and occupations listed were part of the settlement of Macedonia Camp. Corrected names are listed in parenthesis and in bold print. If they appeared on the Living Spring Branch Records, they are printed in blue. If they are listed in the Macedonia Branch Records, the names are in red print (1).Dwelling #966
