Name Greg Romney graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2006 with a bachelor of arts degree in history. He is from Mesa, Arizona, and has started his dental school studies. His research focused primarily on the causes of death at Winter Quarters, and he was involved in finding information about those buried at Winter Quarters.
Name Gabe Zeller was an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University, majoring in history education. He is from Reidsville, North Carolina. His research included gathering information about the pioneer settlements in the Winter Quarters area.
Name Tyler Wright was an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University and majored in computer science. He is from Tucson, Arizona. Much of the formatting and design of this site was done by Tyler. He also focused on the causes of death at Winter Quarters.
Name Rachel Briggs was an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University. She worked on gathering information about the individuals and families who resided in the Winter Quarters area. She also worked on the website.
Name Michelle Ercanbrack worked for the Winter Quarters project by verifying and sourcing family units from the Winter Quarter ward lists. She completed her undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Family History and Genealogy in 2010.
Name Heather Padilla was an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University, majoring in family history. She is from Winters, California. Her primary focus on the project was gathering information about the individuals and families who resided in the Winter Quarters area.
Name Stephanie Burdick was an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University and majored in Political Science and Public Relations. Her focus was gathering and citing information about the families who resided in Winter Quarters.
Name Adam Pinegar was an undergraduate at Brigham Young University majoring in History Teaching. He worked with the Winter Quarters Project with a focus on settlement histories. After completing each history he then researched the individuals that lived there to correctly document the families information. Adam also worked on the website.
Name Meggie Winn was an undergraduate at Brigham Young University majoring in History Teaching. She worked on the Winter Quarters Wards and researched information on the families that lived there. She also worked on the website.
Name Kameron Yorgason was an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University majoring in History and minoring in Philosophy. Kameron researched and wrote concerning individuals and settlements in and around southwestern Iowa during the LDS migration from Nauvoo, Illinois. Kameron also worked on the website. He is now attending law school.
Name Michael Huefner was an undergraduate at Brigham Young University working on a History Teaching major with an English Teaching minor. Michael worked with the Western Bugle newspaper and other primary sources to extract relevant information about people and locations related to the project. Michael wrote an article on Joseph E. Johnson and his contributions to Kanesville. He also worked on the website.
Name Whitney Hirst is an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University studying English and Physics Teaching. A native Nebraskan, Whitney has always had a special interest in the Mormon Pioneers. For the Winter Quarters Project, Whitney transcribed Iowa R.L.D.S. records and researching several converts with L.D.S. backgrounds.
Name Nick Harmon is an undergraduate at Brigham Young University studying Classical Civilization with a minor in computing. Nick worked on researching and writing settlement histories for southwestern Iowa and Nebraska during the LDS migration. Nick wrote a paper which was published in the Summer 2013 edition of the Journal of Mormon History about The Western Bugle newspaper and how it helped members in southwestern Iowa. He also worked on the website.
Name Aubrey Beck is an undergraduate at Brigham Young University. She is a native of Omaha, Nebraska, but she will be spending the next 18 months serving a mission in Campinas, Brazil. She hopes to continue researching and writing settlement histories for the Winter Quarters Project when she returns.
Name Kevin Huefner is an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University studying International Relations. He is from Omaha, Nebraska, and has worked on settlement histories and editing and researching for various papers submitted by the Winter Quarters Project team.
Name Chelsea Quinn is an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University studying Russian with a minor in music. She is from Wrightwood, California. She loves learning about Church history and family history, and she researched the histories of the settlements in Pottawattamie County.
Name Dr. Susan Easton Black is a professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University. She is an accomplished author and was the recipient of the Karl G. Maeser Distinguished Faculty Lecturer Award in 2000, the most prestigious award given to BYU professors. Dr. Black spent considerable time in the Winter Quarters area doing research and gathering information for this project. She and Dr. Anderson are the project directors. Since the passing of her husband Dr. Harvey B. Black, she is now married to George Durrant and are currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo, Illinois.
Name Dr. Harvey B. Black is a professor emeritus of Instructional Psychology and Technology at Brigham Young University. As Susan Black's husband, he also spent much time traveling and researching for the project. His primary focus in the project was gathering and verifying information. Dr. Black passed away on July 8, 2011.
 

Bailey Secrist is an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University majoring in Elementary Education. She is from Aurora, Colorado. She loves family history and learning about the pioneers who crossed the plains. She researches residents of settlements in Pottawattamie County.
